Lea Waters’ exclusive Adelaide book launch and free public lecture
St Peter’s College is delighted to partner with Penguin Australia to host a public lecture and the exclusive Adelaide launch of Professor Lea Waters’ new book ‘The Strength Switch: how the new science of strength-based parenting can help your child and teen to flourish‘.
Strength-based parenting is an approach to parenting that places more time and energy on building up your child’s inborn talents and positive qualities than fixing their faults and shortcomings. It’s about focusing on what they do have rather than defining them by what they don’t have.
In this presentation, Professor Lea Waters will share her research together with tips and stories on how to be a strength-based parent to help your children and you to thrive.
Date: Monday 26 June 2017
Location: Memorial Hall
Times: 6.30pm – 7.30pm. Please be seated by 6.20pm.
Entry by gold coin donation with all proceeds going to charity.
