Character strengths are the smallest thing that can make a big difference. They are the backbone of Positive Psychology and positive education. They are the core ingredients of what scientists have called “the full life,” a life of flourishing.

Dr Niemiec will present an overview of the research on character strengths in general and as applied in an education setting. This will lead into conceptual models for thinking about how best to approach a student’s/client’s character strengths and how to succinctly work with an individual’s strengths. These models are at the heart of a “strengths based approach.”

Please take the free VIA Survey of character strengths prior to the talk Bring your character strengths profile (the rank order of your strengths) and your questions to the event.
