St Peter’s College Selected As An Apple Distinguished School
Touted as the most innovative educators in the world, Apple has selected St Peter’s College as an Apple Distinguished School to take part in the Apple Distinguished Program throughout 2013-2015.
The Apple Distinguished School award is reserved for schools that meet criteria for innovation, leadership, and educational excellence, and demonstrate Apple’s vision of exemplary learning environments.
As an Apple Distinguished School, Saints are now acknowledged as a part of a global community of education leaders recognised for doing amazing things with Apple technology in and out of the classroom; exploring new ideas, seeking new paths and embracing new opportunities.
St Peter’s College actively promotes teamwork within the School and, in collaboration and with Apple, will continue to bring the freshest, most innovative ideas to its students.
St Peter’s College Headmaster Simon Murray said as an Apple Distinguished School, the School will work closely with Apple to lead innovation in education globally.
“As an Apple Distinguished School, we will help advise Apple on integrating technology into learning environments and share our expertise with other educators and policy makers from around the world,” Mr Murray said.
“St Peter’s College has a commitment to its students by being at the frontier of educational innovation and will continue to advocate the use of Apple products in order to help engage students in new ways.
“Being part of the Apple 2013-2015 program community is much more than an honour, it’s an opportunity to make a difference,” he said.
There are now more than 2,000 Apple Distinguished Schools worldwide, from the United States to China, New Zealand to Turkey. Apple Distinguished Schools gather annually at institutes and education events around the world as well as online in the Apple Distinguished Educators community, to collaborate on solutions to the global education challenges of today and tomorrow.
